Green and bleak yellow

Most of the vegetation has turned a bleak yellow but the two mulberry trees (Morus nigra) on the left stay remarkably green. The Kermes Oak (Quercus coccifera) in front of the entrance is also doing well, partly because it receives occasionally watering from cups and pans. Its role as a windbreak under the prominent roof should not be underestimated. At the beginning we had some worries about a possible ‘take-off’ because of strong winds but the garden house has been quite steadfast so far.

La mayor parte de la vegetación muestra un tono amarillo grisáceo pero las dos moreras (Morus nigra) a la izquierda se mantienen muy verdes todavía. La coscoja (Quercus coccifera) delante de la entrada también tira bien, en parte porque recibe a veces algo de agua de la vajilla. Su papel de cortavientos no debe ser subestimado. Al principio tuvimos alguna preocupación sobre el riesgo de un ‘despege’ por vientos fuertes pero la caseta se mantiene firme hasta ahora.
